@arossp@mastodon.social Part of the issue with the misunderstanding is the american libertarian party, and its capture by pro-corporate and white nationalist interests. WHere 'you can't interfere with my liberty" means much more than "I can't interfere with yours". This leads to a libertarian party that argues that the liberty to sell spoiled food is sacrosant. Who talk about regulation in terms that no amount of harm justifies any regulation ever.
