There's a difference between informed and uninformed disagreement, and having an accurate understanding of a set of ideas while still disagreeing with them versus having an inaccurate picture of them. E.g., I disagree with Marxism, but I have a pretty solid understanding of Marxist theory based on a lot of study of what Marxists have written and deep conversations with Marxists. Jordan Peterson also disagrees with Marxism, but appears to know almost nothing about it.

@arossp@mastodon.social I understand what you’re saying but I’m not sure saying many have no clue is going to get folks to peek under the hood and see what libertarianism is about. I don’t pretend to know a lot on it but it seems to me like every political philosophy there are many thoughts and variations involved.
