Point is, having a domineering mother who breaks ur psyche by problematizing everything about u is not a feminist thing, it's just a general bad mom thing. You see the same outline in the Asian tiger mom stereotype, just replace "masculinity" with "academic performance". Same pattern, diff. content. For me when I was young it was being too fat, not being Christian enough (she literally tried to buy my faith), not valuing her trad interests enough, etc.
