The book does quite well in exploring a future alternative society built on solarpunk ideals. It's very practically oriented, and you get a good feeling for this future society, its challenges as well as its strengths.
It's also a work that strongly tries to engage with many of the leading issues of our time. Not by talking about the issues so much directly, but focusing more on the solutions that this future comes up with in order to tackle the issues.

Overall the book is quite ambitious, especially for being so small. A lot went into this book, you can feel the breadth of background from which the author is working. So I'll say this: it's a really good book. You should get it, buy it or borrow it, and read it. It's quite an easy style and language to follow, so even non-native english speakers should find it very easy to finish. Perfect for a long train ride or a week of long public transport commutes! 4/4
