@MaryAustinBooks@mstdn.social @paninid@mastodon.world The orca/yachts thing really grinds my gears! There's a thriving hobbyist industry for "yachts" in the Mediterranean. Not only are ordinary (not rich) people buying shells of boats from the 1960s/70s for a few thousand Euros, but many folks actually live on them as their main asset: those people aren't rich at all. Innocent kids often live on those boats. Real billionaires have yachts that are invulnerable to orca attacks, and money for harpoons and hunting rifles.
