@11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev Oh no. While I am happy that you have consistent income to work on 11ty, I have very mixed feelings about the Open Core business model. Mainly because I have seen (very closely) how it caused multiple good FOSS projects to collapse, as business demands for investment payback made things difficult.
At the same time, 11ty's code architecture allows for a lot of flexibility, so the paid extensions business model could work reasonably well. I just hope it would not cause conflicts of interest for keeping the core functionality working properly. 😓

@11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev There is also question of whether people still feel safe to contribute to 11ty, as now it has gone full circle from a community project to a commercial platform.

@autiomaa@mementomori.social well, I can only say that I’m personally dedicated to proving that this model will work, and both Font Awesome and Web Awesome have shown that the company is also dedicated to this as well for the long term. Please make sure you read the Risks section on the Kickstarter, as I did write that myself and it reflects my feelings on it
