@anders@thoresson.social @11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev *some* of the Pro features are runtime services, and will require an active subscription to have access to those. For example: collaboration will require an active sub. But the snapshot of your web site will be fully exportable and usable on any host if you decide to cancel

@zachleat@fediverse.zachleat.com Thanks! As a sidenote: When I published my latest post on my blog last weekend, I realized I haven’t updated 11ty once since I launched my site, which was at least 18 months ago. It just builds and gets on with it. Amazing!

@zachleat@fediverse.zachleat.com @anders@thoresson.social @11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev will it be possible to offer a version of those pro features without requiring an active subscription (or relying on your hardware)? i don’t use 11ty but i’m overall involved in the ecosystem (since i’m using a js ssg that’s based on 11ty) and i would like for this rising tide to lift all ships. overall feeling unconvinced seeing y’all having people fund a subscription service that they’ll have to pay for afterwards. like the features are cool and i know that base will stay the same, but all this isn’t going to have *no* impact on the ecosystem. i guess my point is that i am imagining the best case and the worst case future for this and i don’t feel great thinking the realistic future is that base 11ty doesn’t languish but also this rising tide will only lift the ships of those willing to pay for a subscription.
