@JetForMe@geekstodon.com I don't have any desire to work in metric - but I do have some opinions about calculators & apps. It does seem very useful to have an app work out those above & below targets. I do wonder if you could make some of the information bigger on the screen? Do you support dynamic type? Is % over/under useful to you? I would think you'd want actual dimensions to those targets. Maybe in thousandths of an inch and mm. why do you have two minus & two divide buttons?

@dxzdb@mastodon.social The grey buttons are for entering fractions like 1-3/4, The orange buttons are operators. I'm open to revisiting the layout, especially since so much is "wasted" on history. I don’t actually know how well it supports dynamic type, I'll have to look at that. Certainly want to make the app as accessible as possible. The importance for me was knowing how close the nearest imperial approximation was, although that idea will be extended to "nearest preferred metric value." But having the actual distance to the nearest preferred neighbor is a good idea. Perhaps a "compact" and "detailed" view you can switch between. Another key feature for me is that all the values be on-screen at the same time; I want to minimize the steps needed to get a sense of what I'm doing.
