@mos_8502@studio8502.ca I disagree there. Any language that improves the programmer experience and reduces bugs is a win. I'm all for Swift as Apple's language of choice. And it's not an Apple product per se; it's an open-source project with significant Apple backing. I wish they'd put a small team on improving adoption outside the Apple ecosystem, especially in embedded, because it will become a de facto Apple product if they don't.
I use it for server-side development on Linux and I much prefer it to the typical alternatives.
