@Coffee@toot.cafe @w8emv@hachyderm.io they are just sandboxed offline web apps, like saving a website and zipping it, they don't have network access nor access to the chat or Delta Chat, the only thing they can do is talk to itself (same copy of it in a chat) from one device to another via some communication channel provided by the parent super-app https://webxdc.org/ that said, it sounds weird to me that you say "It's what stopped me from checking out Delta Chat so far.", like it is just an attachment, if you don't like it just don't open them, same as if someone sends you a PDF, video, apk or .exe file attachment you are not obligated to click it and open it it is actually much safer than clicking a link that someone sends you to some web app, and just the same you have the option of just not clicking it
