@itsFriday@toot.community @w8emv@hachyderm.io that is built-in out of the box, when you scanned the QR of the other person or opened the invite link (transmitted over a secure second channel hopefully) this process of getting in contact already prevents man-in-the-middle, furthermore, in Delta Chat encryption identity is the user identity not the addresses, which means that encryption can never drop or change in a chat because some malicious server is trying to impersonate someone using their address
this is quite powerful, not even the server owners that have control over your account can impersonate you in #DeltaChat
