Richard definitely could write well in a technical sense. He'd have been good if he could shift gears into the literary sense, which isn't easy.

Well, thank you Ma'am. (Tulla's car is safe from me. I'll never leave Texas. Might have to move way out into the desert to get away from the niggers and spics though. Only Gringos are crazy enough to live there.)
