I did not expect to be having metaphysical conversations with a gentleman in a Glasgow beer terrace, but such is life. Equally, didn't expect to run into the same gentleman, 15 mins later, with his "old mam". I'd expected a wizened old crone, not the stylish, rather glamorous lady of 80 years who would easily pass for 20 years younger.
