@caseyliss@mastodon.social I’ve experienced this for two different reasons in the past: 1. SMB permission issues, looked fine when mounted locally however when check from the shell inside the Plex container files couldn’t be accessed. 2. Special characters in filenames caused by the SMB translation layer that converts macOS charset to Linux and vice-versa, the interesting thing about this one is that it would _sometimes_ work if the file with the special character was accessed from outside Plex’s container first (usually from macOS) so the SMB cache was “hot”, then it could work until something rebooted or some time had passed - an indicator of this would be if it happens regularly to movies and shows with “!” or “?” in their names.
