i generally think the desktop metaphor is outdated and a massive drain and i enjoy thinking about new kinds of interfaces .. more centered around the fact that computing is literally reading and editing files, the semantic links between those files, doing away with unnecessary abstractions, like the hierarchical filesystem and window decorations, paying more attention 2 context switching, and predictive task automation
