If you obsess over every little detail in minutiae, do you even get work done or is it delayed until everything is done perfectly as you want it? And if you did do so, your name and rep would have this quirk gossiped about. If Rowling had insisted on every detail in the movies down to a pattern on a floor, it would have been gossiped about. It would have been a sticking point in interviews and movie trivia. It wasn't. Frankly, i don't remember noticing it or knowing about it at all until someone made it a controversy years after the fact. Simple truth is that the majority of the viewers were the same. People who saw it wanted to see it and can only see it as such. It is a thing, becoming aware of something and then starting to notice it everywhere. A movie was even made about it, Number 23. Don't be like that because nobody liked that movie.
