For me, honestly, one of the most appealing things about macrofurry is the idea of a character who says, "I can be immensely powerful, and yet I choose to be gentle."
Sometimes it feels like the primary expression of the genre online is "look at what I can destroy/kill/swallow!" It can be challenging for me to have a steady diet of that and not start to feel like "maybe I just don't belong here either."
Not trying to be specifically critical of anyone, just... being a little pensive.

@chelivan@meow.social I am drawn back to remembering an old, OLD, posting about macrofurry which sort of mocked the idea a story should have a plot other than "character gets beeg". It's haunted me a lot, because I'm not sure if it was satirical... or meant in earnest. But it's definitely made me feel like there's no place for stories which are about "okay, so how does character deal with it?" beyond the... well, smashy/stompy/lewd angles. ... let alone an idea that having that much power over others should also mean the very CONCEPT of a conscience is yeeted out the window into a shark tank while wearing chum-soaked pantaloons.
