Just listened to an interview on Pod Save the UK of Hettie O’Brien about her book: “The Asset Class: How Private Equity Turned Capitalism Against Itself”. I hadn’t previously fully understood the mechanics of a leveraged buy-out. How can it possibly be in society’s interest to allow that?
