Whenever I've seen anyone say something to the tune of "I see genAI like calculators etc." they continue to make it clear they have severely limited to no understanding of: Tools, both conceptually and in practice; history; tech especially tech companies; how tools and tech are refined and improved; pattern recognition; all possible combinations of above. And those all are shown with the "genAI is in the exploratory phase" line they always vomit. Tools are either useful or they're not tools.
