My region, Kitchener-Waterloo, is often abbreviated KW. I just discovered that there's a perfect Unicode character for that: ㎾. https://unicodeplus.com/U+33BE

@csk@mathstodon.xyz that's confusing! The character "kW" suggests that it describes the SI unit of a kilowatt. But the character _name_ is "SQUARE KW", which is dimensionally completely different!

@csk Ok, I had to look this up. The “square” refers to the aspect ratio of the rendered character https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CJK_Compatibility
