@slott56@fosstodon.org When Congress takes control, it will own the resulting mess. That is why my argument is that the idea that Congress can end this is wrong.

@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social @slott56@fosstodon.org what would be the resulting mess?? The mess is already there, and #trump put a pause on a ticking bomb for over a month now with no progress. If congress doesn't approve additional budget, or condition it on with ending operations in the gulf, as per war powers, it would be the right thing to do. Or I am missing something here ?

Or are you hoping the US actually overthrow the government in Iran so you will have to pay higher reparations but at least to better people?

@Teri_Kanefield@mastodon.social @slott56@fosstodon.org Congress needs to decide whether they want a mouse sized mess OR a elephant sized mess. The longer they let this pass the bigger and harder it will be to resolve this. Time to rein in Executive Powers !
