I limit my work interactions with #Microsoft 's online environment as much as I can, but each endeavour is an infernal voyage of horrific discovery. I get a few emails a day about spam emails held in quarantine. Now, these are all very obvious spam emails so I'd like to label them all as definitely spam and block the senders, but of course, this can only be done one at a time and the time between clicking an email, getting past the loading spinner and finally getting to click the three dot menu to block the sender and then hitting 'confirm' takes close to 15 seconds. Not doing that for thirty days' worth of emails, so I guess I'm just deleting them and I'll keep getting spam. Microsoft then asks me if my users are protected from phishing attacks - I don't have users, so no idea why I'm getting that notification. I hit 'delete' on all emails and it takes a baffling 90 seconds for the emails to disappear. I go looking for a way to disable the constant emails about the quarantine... no dice, of course. I log out after a fifteen minute struggle, right back where I started. How people work with this shit every day is beyond me. Just the sloppiest, messiest, most unreliable system, working against you every step of the way. If we have to suffer the indignity of the existence of trillion dollar companies, at least have them make some 'you have to hand it to them'-style usable software - but even that's too much to ask, I guess.
