Every time I remember reading all five Hitchhiker's Guide books, I somehow get retroactively more disappointed. It's not just me, right? They were awful books. I mean I think that was kind of Adams's *point* in writing them, but I still kinda wish I'd spent that time reading literally anything else. Like, the bowl of petunias is a named character and the antihero to the entire story that absolutely nobody ever acknowledges in-world or out. Arthur can fly.
