Expecting users of the most popular IDE in the world to all disperse Tower of Babel style to other editors is not realistic. They should at least have an off-ramp, if nothing else. VSCodium is not a solution -- a starting point, maybe -- because cleaning up Microslops new slop every month is not a development plan that makes a better editor. It’s clear from the Release Notes every month that MS is 100% focused on slop features — there’s genuinely nothing left worth tracking upstream for any more. #vscode #noai #programming #development #opensource #FOSS
