Bill C-22 is the wrong approach to "modernize" law enforcement. The bill will conscript all tech service companies into becoming apart of the law enforcement apparatus. That's not going to work. They need to prioritize hiring people who are tech savvy (all the way to the top). The fact that many police forces have a separate/single cyber division is antiquated. The answer is to reform law enforcement into a more creative, technical and surgical system. Not reducing everyone's privacy.
