I got an AI chatbot to hallucinate to me. (Unfortunately I deleted the conversation, and repeating the question did not generate the same result.) Yesterday, on a whim I asked Google Gemini, "Why are Temu prices so low?". Gemini gave me a full answer of several things that Temu does (in present tense) to have lower costs. When I pointed out that the "de minimis" loophole no longer exists, Gemini lied to me by saying that's why the previous response was in the past tense. LOL!
