Hot take time, games have always been good. There was never a point where they were better or worse as a whole. There has always been a wide range in quality. The sweet spot is £12-£30 If a game costs between £12 and £30 it's probably a banger in any generation. If it costs less than that it can probably still be fun but a bit basic. If it costs more than that it's probably a bit soulless and corpo.
