I can’t imagine how people think anything else. He has no positive publicity, in the 80s and 90s he was constantly getting shit on in interviews.

I blame that fucking game show he was given. I guess before that some rappers thought he had street cred or some shit. I mean people that were at least marginally aware would know he was a jackass long before. Did anyone reading/watching American Psycho think the protagonist worships donnie for justifiable reasons?
