@ricardo@mastodon.bsd.cafe @Su_G@aus.social @sybren@fosstodon.org Yup, not happy to see vim accepting slop, but there are a couple of vim forks that are rejecting them. As I said elsewhere in the thread, vim reached feature completeness for me a long time ago (I think 7 had some things I cared about? Not sure. Definitely before 8), so my requirement for a fork is: Fix bugs.Don't fuck it up. I shall watch to see which one ends up being better at that.

I think I switched after Bram passed. I guess I thought the editor with a larger community would prevail. Now, not only have I had to spend a long time switching, the prevalance of AI in both means I'm just staying put to see which falls over more. Strongly considering moving to something different but Zed went AI too. Maybe Gram is the ticket but i still use Vi across SSH on various systems. I'll want that grammer.
