https://www.gamesradar.com/games/rpg/remedy-ceo-says-releasing-control-resonant-near-gta-6-is-playing-the-long-game-you-can-expect-a-voice-that-will-cut-through-the-noise/ from the ceo that said "Control and Alan Wake 2 should have sold more" after making them Epic exclusive "you can expect a voice that will cut through the (gta 6) noise" reminder that every game thinks this and every game found out the hard way. to the point where some games just delay their game not only for their own game's health but also so the devs can play the new game rather than do bug fixing for their own game on release week. there's enough overlap for it to matter, and also gta 6 will just take all the marketing and press coverage so the game will be shadowed. people in the cross section will be focused on gta and people who aren't will be flooded with gta 6 stuff whether they want it or not.
