I've tried to use Matt Colville's minion rules for #dnd 5e. It was supposed to simplify running large amount of enemies. While I think it does the job it didn't quite work for me as I am still juggling multiple pieces on the battlefield and it didn't really speed up running more enemies for me. Or maybe it would work batter in theatre of the mind? Anyway I just came across Dungeon Dudes' video talking about hordes and I think I'd give that a shot.
