@7sleepersmusic@mastodon.social This experience taught me — or reinforced for me — that there's some pretty belligerent censorship of those who question the Zionist line as the political-religious right now wants to define that term, including censorship of many Jewish voices gthatg do not toe that right-wing political-religious line. I find it disheartening that when people feel they cannot win moral battles by open and honest discucssion, they resort to threats, behind-scenes finagling, and censorship. /3

@wdlindsy@toad.social I wonder, though, does it really need to be that careful? Any objective, cursory glance at history clearly shows that people of many faiths have lived in the Levant for thousands of years completely and totally peacefully. Usually those who who push some other narrative are almost always using it to their own political ends, and I just don't know if it's worth the time to engage with them on an honest level, because that honesty is usually never reciprocated, in my experience.
