@gruber@mastodon.social I know "new" is what people care about, but I think Cook's stewardship of the iPhone deserves more credit. It's a ratchet that gets strictly better every year, and some of its best features are Cook-era. The dramatic evolution of the cameras, CarPlay, Wallet (which is gradually replacing physical credit cards and even ID cards), etc. FindMy and Airtags. Nobody asks "did they screw it up this year?" when September rolls around.
