@philiph@hachyderm.io @furicle@mastodon.social We pull system DMI information into our metrics system, across both server hardware and more DIY locally built stuff from parts. The server hardware pretty much all reports serial numbers and other unique stuff. The consumer/etc motherboards are much more variable and less trustworthy, even thought they do theoretically have (MB) serial numbers.
