Yeah, normative skillsets and social roles and expectations are in constantly changing. My BIL grew up hunting and farming but he can't ever talk about it anymore because people view negatively in his current social environment of professional urban liberals, who think it is considered psychopathic to hunt/kill/dress animals. He used to hunt, trap, skin, and all that to make money as a teenager. What was totally normal for him, is considered borderline criminal behavior to the people around him now.
