So true, the more it happens the more I have been thinking the techniques used writing the absurd and the horrific must have a ton of overlap.

I also think it’s the sort of person both fields attract. Comics are often cynical and edgy while still having a lot of empathy for people, which is a really helpful perspective for writing great horror.
