@jayreding@mastodon.world I’m in a similar position. I left the cinema in a state of shock, not really understanding what had just happened. Felt a tad bitter for a few days, then forgot about the whole thing until RoS was released. Then it all flipped in my head: I now find TFA and RoS extremely boring, uninspired and repetitive. TLJ on the other hand made me cry, shout, suffer and cheer, ie what only a great movie can do.

@glycojones@mastodon.world @jayreding@mastodon.world Could not agree more (and for context, I have loved the OG trilogy since Star Wars came out - I was seven). I appreciated the ways Rian Johnson thought and opened things up and the risks he took.
