60-year-old Kenneth Law from Mississauga, has admitted to 14 counts of counselling or assisting su*cide in Canada for selling poisonous substances through online businesses 6️⃣🐝 Investigators allege the former chef distributed roughly 1,200 packages of the chemicals to people in 40 countries after connecting with them through online forums focused on su*cide. About one-quarter of those shipments were sent to the United Kingdom. While the charges involve Canadian victims, relatives of British victims have criticized UK authorities for not pursuing charges against Law in connection with the d*aths of 79 people in Britain that police say were linked to substances he supplied. The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service said it supported the Canadian plea agreement on the condition that the British d*aths be considered during sentencing. According to a letter obtained by the BBC, prosecutors determined Law would not face charges in the UK because he could contest extradition after being convicted in Canada for similar offences.
