@jesuisatire@social.tchncs.de People involved with the identi.ca-centered network used the term "federated social web" at least a few (EDIT: months) before the first Diaspora pod was deployed: www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/fede… The Fediverse was coined as an alternative to the Identiverse.
