@khobochka@mastodon.social Since US courts ruled last week that although training would be fair use, the companies would still need a license to enact that fair use, I think there is still hope for a solution. First of all, there are no legal objections to creating a license that doesn't grant a license for AI companies specifically. One does need, however, lawyers who would hold the license up in court. A system that enables (your price) licensing for AI companies would be great when fielding that defence.
