Somewhat annoyingly & ironically, the first victim of my policy of blocking entire IP ranges of (cloud) providers that I find scraping my website without regard for robots.txt turns out to be my own website: Let's Encrypt uses (multiple, different) cloud IPs for its HTTPS challenges... And because they no longer mail notifications for certificate expiry I also didn't notice it immediately either. Deep sigh...
