A sound recording represents air pressure. But air pressure correlates to the *acceleration* of a vibrating surface, not position or velocity, and a speaker reproduces sound by accelerating the speaker cone. I want to know: is there typically a conversion from velocity to acceleration, or is the signal just interpreted as if it were acceleration?
