I don’t know if anybody needs to hear this, I have to remind myself all the time and have certainly not always succeeded. But there are no monsters and no perfect heroes, only people and their deeds. Dehumanizing someone is never the move, even if that person has done terrible things. It’s a distorted critique and I think has at its heart vengeance rather than justice, and I think it’s bad for everybody, maybe especially the person doing it.
