I think the delay issue is resolved so I shipped it for supporting browsers: https://chriskirknielsen.com — still seems a little iffy in Firefox with the feature flag on but it works. It's my website, who's gonna stop me? (PS: you can toggle themes with the number keys on your keyboard if you want to switch very fast and hurt your eyes!)
