Ok, so Poland seems to recognize it and is not in the "core"... Turkey seems to recognize it and is not in the "core" ... Taiwan seems to recognize it and is not in the "core" ... Ukraine seems to recognize it and is not in the "core" ... Ukraine actually said that after they did China threatened to limit trade and block scheduled delivery of 500,000 covid vaccine doses. Czech Republic seems to recognize it and is not in the "core" ... Actually looking at the countries supporting and not supporting it looks like divide is more between democracies and dictatorships.

Correct, the dividing line is between [Democracy and Autocracy](https://thehill.com/opinion/national-security/3521187-does-bidens-democracy-v-autocracy-framework-make-sense/), between [the Garden and the Jungle](https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2022/10/17/josep-borrell-eu-racist-gardener), between the [imperialists](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neocolonialism) and the [anti-imperialists](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-imperialism).

Those countries are in the core or the semi-periphery, depending on who you ask. They’re in the liminal space between the core and the periphery. They have “favored vassal” status, and won’t bite the hand that feeds them.
