One of the most frustrating things about refusing to purchase or play a plethora games because of my principles isn't that I've locked myself into a situation where if I went against my word, I'd be punished. It's that if I went against my word, I'd be rewarded. The second I give up and just start patronising companies that are still doing NFTs, companies getting into AI, companies that abuse their employees, a lot of people would think "Oh, finally!"
