@Bronwyn@sfba.social Controlled shrinking is a gamble. Do you still have a gauge swatch? You could do a test run with that. Or another idea: Rib back to the part where you separate for the sleeves or maybe a few rows of the yoke to the point where you have the width you want and then work down from there. The deep v neck can be tightened a bit with the neckband - pick up sts as suggested and then decrease some during the first round.

    @Bronwyn@sfba.social I'd probably try to tighten the neck line first and see if I can get that part to a point I like. If not - the frog pond it is. Yes, you'll hate reknitting the tedious part. But finishing a sweater you already know you will probably not wear is even more tedious.

  • @FanCityKnits@troet.cafe @Bronwyn@sfba.social This is a good idea. And first measure, then block and measure again what you have now. That will inform you about the amount of stitches you need and what that will look like before blocking. Even if you decide to frog that is very useful information.
