@oceane@gotosocial.social @ChristineMalec@mstdn.ca I don't work in the accessibility field and don't know where you got the 80-character limit datapoint from, but I don't think that's the case for anyone. While braille displays may average 20, 40, or 80 cells in size, each one has the ability to pan, i.e., read the next X characters in the line as needed.

@twynn@mas.to @ChristineMalec@mstdn.ca Thank you Timothy too, I was too tired to reply yesterday so I faved you on my phone haha OK I guess the “standard” I’ve read on a reputable French source was about web design (i.e. literally every icon and logo) whereas for images sky should be the limit, on Mastodon, on my personal blog, etc. Feel free to share you disagreements though!
