They say a Schengen visa gets easier as history builds up, but I'm seeing this getting harder for absolutely bonkers reasons. This time, to _submit_ my application, I will have to travel a shorter distance (500km) than the coast to coast last time, and with slightly fewer 100s of grams of paper. But the date is so tight it is all but guaranteed the visa will arrive after I am supposed to be there (if it does at all). And I had to keep checking the site every 3-4 hours for 2 weeks for the slot.
