@HeyeBodo@rollenspiel.social @mdhughes@appdot.net The first one was a bit idiosyncratic with its magic system, if I remember correctly, but even that works well enough. It's BRP, and one of the more forgiving variants, so it's a decent enough workhorse. I just remember that the German version back then looked so beautiful. Never actually owned that version, though. The publisher "Laurin" had some pretty awesome layout back then, their hardcover leatherette Rolemaster books still fetch a decent price.

@HeyeBodo@rollenspiel.social @mhd@tilde.zone Stormbringer 1E is so good, & just treachery at every step, because everyone hsa the information or resources you need. Your "magic items" & "spells" (all summoned demons) are plotting against you. At least it's a little more adventure-friendly than RuneQuest. Later editions give you too much power, so you start to accomplish things, which is un-Moorcockian.
